Tier 1 General Infographics

This is route is now closed to entry clearance and is now gradually been eased out. Current holders can still switch or apply for ILR, however after the 6th of April 2018, the route will be officially closed to both extension and settlement.

What does the Infographics say?

This route was officially closed on the 6th of April 2015 but remains available for applicants who hold extant leave in the route and who wish to apply for indefinite leave to remain before the closure to Tier 1 (General) applicant on the 6th of April 2018.

Entry Clearance

This route has been closed and individuals will no longer be able to enter into the United Kingdom on this route.

Extension

As much as this route is slowly phasing out, you may still be able extend your leave by switching into other immigration categories if you do not qualify for extension or Indefinite Leave to remain.

Indefinite Leave to remain

You may be eligible for settlement i.e. Indefinite Leave to remain (ILR) after 5 years of continuous residence under this route. It is important to note that this route is set to close on the 6th of April 2018. If you are currently on this route and feel like for any reason you may not qualify for ILR, it may be best to switch your visa route to a different one. Dependants

Your dependants are able to join you in the UK on this visa route. Dependants are defined as spouses or same sex partners or children under the age of 18 years.
