How to Qualify

You need to apply as a leader or an emerging leader in your field. The fields are science, humanities, engineering, medicine, digital technology and arts.

There are five endorsing organisations in digital technology, arts, science and creative sectors. The additional visas will be available to all of these bodies.

You must be recognised by a competent body, these are as below

• The Arts Council England
• The British Academy (For humanities and social science)
• The Royal Society (for natural sciences and medical research)
• The Royal Academy of Engineering
• Tech City UK

Should you qualify, you will then need to make a visa application. You should also be aware that the usual English language requirement is not part of the Tier 1 Exceptional Visa requirements.
