The entrepreneur visa route is for budding entrepreneurs with enough seed capital to start up or take over a business in the UK. With £200,000 of investible funds it is possible to enter the UK to do business, though there are some eligibility criteria as laid out below;

• £200,000 of seed capital
• English language requirement
• Business plan

With these basics in place, a strong application can be made to give you access to the UK for an initial period of up to 3 years and 4 months which can be extended. After a period of 5 years, you may be able to become a permanent resident in the UK.

Investor visa UK

For those with £2m in investible funds, there is the option of the tier 1 investor visa, similar to the entrepreneur visa, you will need to make an application and meet the requirements as set out in the eligibility criteria.

If successful you will be able to enter the UK for the same initial period of 3 years and 4 months, after this you can extend by a further 2 years. Once this has expired you may then have the option to become a permanent resident.
